Mapping the heartbeat of your city.
The AMP Local Map is a video-powered map that enables people to search and explore their neighborhoods and cities.
A living map of your
neighborhood.
- Video-first pins to showcase local stories.
- Searchable by tags for easy discovery.
- Signals that pulse in real time for events, news & promotions.
- Verified accounts for businesses, nonprofits, government and media outlets.
Local directories are scattered across too many platforms and without the ability to provide real-time updates. We partner with neighborhoods and business associations by providing interactive video maps to help residents find local information, businesses and services.
How To Use AMP Local Maps
AMP Local Maps helps your neighborhood stay visible, connected, and up to date without relying on noisy social feeds. In just a few steps, you can post stories, activate real-time signals and make local happenings easier to discover.
AMP Local Maps are adaptable to different use cases:
- Neighborhood discovery
- Local news & information
- Business promotion & local commerce
- Events & community gatherings
- Civic engagement & nonprofit resources
- Climate issue & rapid response mapping
Pin A Story & Tag It
Partners can pin short videos from your businesses, programs or community updates directly onto the map tagged by category. It turns your everyday activity into searchable, location-based visibility that keeps your neighborhood feeling alive.
Activate A Signal
When something needs attention—an event, a promotion, or a real-time update—you can activate a Signal that pulses on the map for a set amount of time. It’s a simple way to drive immediate awareness without relying on social media algorithms.
Discover & Explore
Residents can explore what’s nearby, filter by what they need, and quickly connect to local places and opportunities. It becomes a living directory and engagement layer that makes your neighborhood easier to connect with and support.
Represent Overtown
Represent Overtown is a neighborhood platform led by local community partners and powered by AMP Local to strengthen communication, visibility, and connection across the Historic Overtown. We power their website, established video workflows, streaming capabilities and implemented the AMP Local Video Map for community updates by Overtown Business Association businesses and Overtown Children & Youth Coalition organizations.
This enables residents to keep up with what’s happening in Overtown, who’s doing the work and follow the issues the community wants. It’s an example of how a neighborhood can participate in their own local network, with a shared vision for their community on shared infrastructure.

“In The Black” is a business directory and guide led by The Atlanta Voice in partnership with local business associations to spotlight Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs across Atlanta. AMP Local powers the interactive map layer turning listings into video-first pins that are searchable, location-based and built for discovery. The result is a directory that feels alive and creates new opportunities for sponsorship and member value.

World Cup 2026 Activation Maps
The World Cup 2026 Activation Maps is a concept to track events, fan experiences, local business activations, and cultural moments happening across host cities. For citywide activations, AMP Local would power a real-time map where participating partners & businesses can post ‘signals’ of their World Cup events. This will help home town and visiting fans discover where their favorite teams are being supported, watch events and businesses to support during the tournament.
